Davis-Moore Corvette Day
The only thing HOTTER than a bunch of Vettes might have been the weather lately, but even the heat couldn't stop South Winds and NCRS members from showing up in great numbers on Saturday (July 10th) to help support our host dealership Davis-Moore Chevrolet. Here is a bird's eye shot of the event:

Welcome our First C6 Grand Sport

Pictured above is the Club's first new C6 Grand Sport - and what a beauty it is! Jim and Sue P are the proud owners. Congratulations to you both and thanks for adding this to the South Winds family. Click on the link below for more pictures.
One of the New Additions to the South Winds Family

Shown above is one of the new additions to the South Winds Family of Corvettes. It is a 2008 Jetstream Blue coupe with a 6 speed, the 436 HP power plant and Z51 package. In addition to this, our own Jim P recently purchased an awesome white Grand Sport that we hope to post pictures of soon along with pictures of the corvettes owned by a couple of new members that have joined in the last few months. Click here to view the entry...If Corvette made a Combine
Here is what it would look like-

Above, Ron stands in front of one of Bob and Jeanne's fleet of combines that those who went on the April cruise were fortunate enough to see. Below, here is where I think Denny first gets the idea of taking people for a ride.

Further below, Denny expands on his idea and starts giving some of Bob's workers, lets just say "a somewhat spirited ride" in his Z.

Denny ended the night by giving our own Linda P a ride as well. Here she tells Bob that she thought that her heart was beating so fast that it was going to fly right out of her chest. But then she gathered her senses and told Mr. Bill that they needed a new Z. It seems that Bill's plan worked to perfection!

The pictures above (other than one) are courtesy of Diane R - thank you Diane. And of course, a HUGE thanks goes out to Bob and Jeanne who opened their home up to our rowdy crowd and put on a drive and dine that will remain memorable for a long, long time. Thank you guy's !!
