Sure....it's a Corvette !

Cars....cool cars.........there is just something about them that bonds generations and eliminates generation gaps.

I fondly remember as a kid (8-10 years old), riding in the family car and playing games to pass the time on trips to grandma's. "Look at the headlights of the approaching car....can you tell what it is.......a Ford, a Buick, a Mopar, a Chevy......is it a cool car like a camaro, a mustang, a muscle car, or maybe a Corvette?"

Never had any trouble picking out a Vette - night or day, Corvettes have an unmistakable design....nothing else looks like a Vette. Kind of like in music, the unmistakable sound of Elvis or Johnny Cash - which I guess, is one reason why I choose to own a Corvette, it's unique appearance.

Another reason is the unforgettable experience you get actually driving a Corvette (versus just riding in one). The feeling you get when you mash the accelerator or take that curve faster, smoother and easier than you thought was possible. It is almost like your blood is pumping from your hands through the steering wheel to the engine and ultimately the tires - exhilarating!

But, I've found that although looking at and driving the car are tremendous rewards, my greatest reward does not come from the driving experience, awards at car shows, or receiving compliments from adults........no, instead it is hearing that young 8-10 year old say......"WOW....cool car" to which I reply "thanks, do you know what kind it is".....and hearing them quickly respond...."Sure.....it's a CORVETTE!!!" I guess I've come full circle.
