2006 Barrett-Jackson Showcases the Oldest Surviving Corvette

One of the highlights for corvette fans at the 2006 Barrett-Jackson was the sale of the famed #003 - the world's oldest survivor of the 1953 model run (300 cars). Hailed as one of the most important American made automobiles in history, the meticulously restored beauty sold for a cool $1 million (plus an 8% commission) and many corvette experts felt the buyer may have made the best investment at the auction.
