Corvette Values - Better than the Stock Market !!

I'm sure all of us have wondered from time to time, what our corvettes are "worth" - not so much that we are wanting to sell them, but from an investment standpoint, or probably more likely, what that other corvette that we are "lusting" for is currently "valued" at? I know, I know, "value" and "worth" are in the eye of the beholder but from what the market experts are claiming, buying an early model Vette is a pretty good investment.

In fact, according to a 2005 annual review of corvette prices by Bob Kroupa of Vette-N-Vestments-

"2005 was another great year for Corvette enthusiast who also own Corvettes. Our analysis for the 2005 calendar year reflects excellent price results. Most of the 1953-1982 models outperformed the S&P Stock Market Index. In fact, all models through 1982 showed positive appreciation results with only one showing a "no change" designation."
