SWCC Member Completes Marathon

Our own Dale G, a former cross country runner (who held records at Maize High) and notorious "madman" behind the wheel on a racetrack, celebrated a momentous birthday by completing the Wichita Marathon recently with a friend of his. Dale ran the first half of the race (13 miles) at an average of 8:00 minutes a mile pace (WOW!). He survived a fall during mile 22, helped a guy who passed out during mile 23, and ultimately finished in the upper half of the 324 who ran with a time of 4 hours, 1 minute, 49 seconds - which is a 9:14 average per mile pace.
