South Winds at 2007 Barrett-Jackson

Well who is that standing next to Barry Meguire....why, it's our own South Winds President...and what about those two below, standing in front of the "Last Sting Ray" (which sold for $600k), they look familiar too....

There were 152 corvettes sold at Barrett-Jackson this year, and even with a somewhat softer market than in years past, the corvette continues to hold its value...which is both good news and bad depending upon if you are buying or selling. In addition to Darrel and Ron meeting Barry Meguire, other highlights for South Winds members attending included our own Bill P shaking hands with famous drag racer and current engine builder, Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins and NASCAR racer and TV analyst Jimmy Spencer, along with Mike Joy from SPEED television visiting with our group for nearly 5 minutes (what a great guy he is), not to mention drooling over about thirty classic corvettes in the main pavilion (reserved for marque cars). Click on the link below for more pictures (and comments) from the event.
