TERRIFIC TURNOUT FOR BEAUMONT CRUISE
We had a great turnout Saturday (May 12th) for the annual breakfast cruise to the Beaumont Hotel and Cafe with 38 people and 18 awesome Corvettes ranging from generation C2 to C6. Several vintage planes flew in and it was a beautiful, clear day which made the wind farm, just south of the town, easily visible. Above is a picture of our own Mike D posing by a 1949 model along with a close-up shot of some of that wind power (and Linda P). Man those things are much bigger than you think! Below is a shot of some of the Vettes "pre-staging" before our launch and another picture once they "dropped the green" flag and served breakfast.
The annual breakfast cruise to Beaumont has become a real club favorite and much thanks go to Joe E and Mark P for organizing it and to Mike D, one of our club photographers, who took most of these great pictures - Thanks guys! South Winds would also like to thank our hosts, the wonderful people at the Beaumont Hotel for making us feel so welcome. Below is a shot of Joe and Mike and you can also click on the link below for more pictures, courtesy of Mike D and Bill P.
