1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER - President Darrel Ro.
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.
Dinner reservations were made at On The Border by Mark P. Approximately 20 people attended.
2. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS & GUESTS - President Darrel Ro.
Guests who were introduced:
David He. is back again from Florida. Welcome back David!
James Ha. came for one meeting last year. James drives a 2007 Black Z06.
Duane Er. who was referred by Karla Shepherd
3. SECRETARY REPORT - given by Dale Gr.
- Last months minutes are posted on the club web site.
- Send Jerry McK. or Dale Gr. an update if your contact or car information change.
4. TREASURER REPORT - given by Janet De.
- Contact Treasurer for details.
- Briefly discussed car show finances from last months car show.
Janet is waiting on more numbers to come in from various people.
- Agreed to table car show discussion until next month because all the numbers are not in yet.
5. NCCC CLUB GOVERNOR MESSAGE - given by Mike Ro.
- Will send NCCC broadcast email updates to membership as he gets them.
- Not present this evening, nothing to report.
6. VICE PRESIDENT MESSAGE - given by Rick Nu.
- Offer made and accepted to have the annual Christmas party at Willowbend County Club.
Thanks Rick for the generous offer!
Meet at 4pm, dinner will be served at 5pm.
Motion made by Jim Ph. to have Hog Wild cater the event. Motion passed.
7. CLUB COORDINATORS REPORT:
a) CLUB FUNCTIONS - given by Linda Pu. & Kathy We.
* RECAP OF LAST MONTHS DRIVE & DINE EVENT
Many thanks to Ron & Kathy We. for hosting the event which was held after the car show pre-meeting.
Lots of members attended the September event to Pizza Hut Bistro.
Kathy took the opportunity to surprise Ron with a birthday celebration of cup cakes and balloons.
Ron's face was as red as his C5 convertible.

- Time: Leave World Market (next to Target at K96 & Greenwich) at 5pm.
- Destination: 20 minute drive rain or shine.

- Need someone to chair the November Drive & Dine.
- This Sunday is the Toy's For Tot's show and shine. Meet at WSU at 12pm.
Bring new and unwrapped toy and caravan to drop off location.
- Bill Pu. and others are going to Topeka this weekend for the SCCA road race nationals.
b) WEB SITE ADMIN ANNOUNCEMENT/DISCUSSION - given by Jerry McK. & Dale Gr.
- Nothing to report.
c) W.A.C.C.C. - given by Bill Pu.
- Next meeting is third Tuesday of November.
- Bill made a comment that WACCC may fold for lack of interest.
8. TWILIGHT CLASSIC CAR SHOW - Show Date is Sat. Sep. 20 at Central Community Church

a) CAR SHOW UPDATE - given by Kurt Ge. - Lots of information here. Contact Kurt if you have questions.
- A big round of applause was given to all committee members and organizers and award makers
for contributing their time and talents to pull off the biggest Twilight Classic Car Show ever.
- The following was posted on the clubs web site by Jerry McK.
With over 300 cars registered for the car show, there were a lot of "Bests", but following are pictures of Best of Show, Best Corvette, President's Choice, Best Paint, Best Truck, Best Engine, and Best Interior. A huge THANK YOU to all who brought out their beauties on such a wonderful day. South Winds thanks you and so does the Wichita Children's Home! Thanks also to all of those who worked the show - it would not have been possible without you! 9. OTHER BUSINESS / DISCUSSION:
a) Reports of upcoming shows of particular interest to our members
- Cherokee Strip Corvette Club on Nov. 8th. Contact Jerry McK. for more details.
b) BRAGGIN' TIME - Brief report on shows attended by members last month.
- Jerry McK. took all 3 of his Corvettes to the Valley Center car show. About 80 cars were there.
- Walter Da. placed 23rd at the SCCA National C-Stock autocross event.
- Joe El. took 2 of his Corvettes to the Mount Hope car show. Both of them won trophies.
He also participated in the parade.
- Denny & Connie Po. along with Jim Ph. and wife went to the Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend event.
They reported several thousand Corvettes attended.
- Dave De. announced a car show to benefit the Mijares Family (The Mother and daughter were killed by a drunk driver on October 1st) on Sunday October 26, 2008 at Star Lumber Co. parking lot at 325 S. West St in Wichita.
C) MEMBER ANNOUNCEMNENTS
- Dave and Janet De. recently purchased and drove to tonight's meeting a 1962 Red Convertible. It's in VERY nice condition.
D) OTHER ANNOUNCEMNENTS
1) Election of officers is coming up in December. Election committee members are Jim Ph., Walter Da. and Marcia R.
2) Membership Dues need to be paid in order to vote for board members.
3) Two motions were made by Dave De. Both motions passed by unanimous vote.
3a) The President should appoint a committee to decide a range of options for next years car show or club activity.
The committee should present the range of options at the November meeting.
A vote by the membership should be held in December to decide what the club activity should be.

3b) Proposition to move the Nov. 4th (election day) meeting to Nov. 11th.
Side note: A broadcast email was sent to membership changing the meeting date to Nov. 5th
This was done because of a scheduling conflict with many members of the "activity" committee.
4) Motion made by Jim Ph. and passed. Jim proposed making a donation from the clubs funds of $500 to the family of Davis Moore's parts manager Kevin Williams. Kevin passed away from a motorcycle accident. He is survived by his wife and kids.
10. DRAW FOR DOOR PRIZE - Mark Pa.
Mark was not present. Door prize was not offered tonight.
11. ENTERTAIN MOTION TO ADJOURN MEETING - Adjourned at 7:35 PM.
