1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: President Jerry McK.
- Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.
- Approximately 37 members including guests attended tonight's meeting.
- Mark P. made dinner reservations at Granit City. Approximately 20 people attended.
2. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS & GUESTS - President Jerry Mck.
Guests who were introduced:
Jeff & Wanda Tev. along with their son took delivery of a brand new Corvette ZR1 just before tonight's meeting.
3. OFFICER TIME:
- Minutes are posted on the club web site and NCCC Governor will send email updates as needed.
- Send Jerry McK. or Dale Gr. an update if your contact or car information change.
- Jerry talked about the possibility of having a few of our meetings at other places off site from Davis Moore.
3a) TREASURER REPORT - given by Janet De.
- Contact Treasurer for details.
- No questions or comments.
3b) CORVETTE TRIVIA QUESTION - given by Mike Ro.
3c) RECOGNISE MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP BIRTHDAYS & "WHO AM I" QUESTION - given by Jerry Mck.
3d) ANNOUNCE MONTHLY MEETING ATTIRE - Jerry McK.
- This meeting was "wear something from your favorite team"
- Next month "wear your favorite hat"
4. CRUIZIN' TIME:
4a) RECAP OF PRIOR CRUISES AND EVENTS
- Lots of fun had by many club members at the annual Christmas party. Many thanks to Rick Nu. for hosting the party.
4b) OUTLINE OF UPCOMING FUNCTIONS - Linda Pu., Marcia Ro. & Kathy We.
# Please contact the committee members for your chance to host a drive and dine.
# Broadcast emails will be sent regarding the event.
5. DRIVIN' AND BRAGGIN' TIME - Take the wheel for your chance to brag a little.
# Rules: Nothing negative, topic must be related to club activity or Corvette and try to limit to 3 minutes. Caution, you can be issued a DUI by the Officers.
- Mike Ro. talked about the National Corvette Caravan timed to arrive for the National Corvette Museum's 15th Anniversary Celebration on September 3-5, 2009.
6. OTHER BUSINESS / DISCUSSION:
- Jerry McK. discussed the possibility of getting all the members cars together this year for a club photo.
Mike Wal., & Ron Wes., & Mike Dec. volunteered to research a club photo venue.
- Dale Gr. will research the question if this year is an anniversary year for SWCC.
- Jerry Mck. received a call from Bill War. secretary who said he may be interested in buying a Corvette and may ask our club to help with looking at one.
- A voting ballot was passed out by the Fund Raising Committee to hold a car show as the main fund raising event of the year. The vote passed 36 to 4 to have the car show.
- Contact Jerry Mck. if you are interested in volunteering for the car show committee. Looking for 3 to 5 committee members and lots more for sub-committees.
- Bill Pul. said the 2009 "Cruzin" calendars will be published in January.
7. DRAW FOR DOOR PRIZE - Mark Pa.
Door prize won by Mike Row. and Mike Her.
8. ENTERTAIN MOTION TO ADJOURN MEETING - Adjourned at 7:20 PM.
9. TRADITIONAL CORVETTE CARAVAN TO RESTAURANT
