SOUTH WINDS CORVETTE CLUB MEETING MINUTES

1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER by President Jerry McK. at 6:30 PM and ended at 7:35 PM.
- Approximately 40 members including guests attended tonight's meeting & dinner which was held at Players Sports Bar. It rained most of the day so almost everyone arrived in their daily drivers. Before and after the meeting, Jerry entertained us all with a picture slide show of SWCC events that occurred Jan. through March.

2. No new members or guests tonight.

3. OFFICER TIME:
- Minutes are on the club web site and NCCC Governor sends email updates as needed.
- Send Jerry McK. or Dale Gr. an update if your contact or car information change.

3a) CORVETTE TRIVIA QUESTION - given by Mike Ro.
3b) TREASURER REPORT given by Janet De. announced this month balance as $ 3,534.62.
3c) RECOGNIZE MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP BIRTHDAYS & "WHO AM I" QUESTION - given by Jerry Mck.
3d) CORVETTE SHOW AND TELL - Nothing for show and tell tonight.
3e) MEETING ATTIRE/THEME announced by Jerry McK.
This Month: Stingrays & Sharks
Next Month: Will again be Stingrays & Sharks at Players since tonight was a rain out.
3f) OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS / DISCUSSION
- Mike De. suggested (and all agreed) to send Jerry action shots of SWCC members in action. The pictures could be shown at the Christmas party and voted on for prizes.
- NCCC - Mike Ro. will be sending out NCCC competition schedule and gave insurance update. He will send the NCCC Q & A to the web admins to post on our web site. He has sent NCCC our activity schedule for insurance purposes. Send Mike your activity so he can update the list and forward it to NCCC.
- Janet De. gave update on the 25 Anniversary committee. Many thanks to the volunteers who are planning to make this a really nice event. There are plans to have a dinner event on a Friday evening and multiple events on a Saturday. Event may be July or August.

4. CRUIZIN' TIME:
4a) RECAP OF PRIOR CRUISES AND EVENTS
Many thanks to Kathy, Linda & Marcia for hosting last months SWCC Spring Fling event at the Red Barn near Lake Afton.
32 people and 10 Corvettes enjoyed Bar-B-Q and a live band at the May 2nd event. Jerry has already posted lots of action photos on the web site. Thanks for sending in your event photos.

4b) OUTLINE OF UPCOMING FUNCTIONS - Linda Pu., Marcia Ro. & Kathy We.
-> Please contact the committee members for your chance to host a drive and dine.
-> Broadcast emails will be sent regarding the event.

- DATE: May 23rd TIME: Leave Riverlawn Christian Church at 9:00 AM
- DESTINATION: Beaumont, KS (45 minute drive east of Wichita)

5. DRIVIN' AND BRAGGIN' TIME - Take the wheel for your chance to brag a little.
-> Rules: Nothing negative, topic must be related to club activity or Corvette
and try to limit to 3 minutes. Caution, you can be issued a DUI by the Officers.
- Kurt Ge. gave update on the Newton car show where Kurt, Karin & Terry Po. won prizes.
- Cliff Cr. have update on the Orpheum car show where he won a top 10 award.
- Those who attended the Keller wedding all agreed Dallas looked real nice all dressed up in a tuxedo.
- Contact David De. for information on this Saturday's North High car show.

6. OTHER BUSINESS / DISCUSSION:
- W.A.C.C.C. - Bill Pu. announced the Lake Afton All Wheels show is Sunday June 14. He also mentioned he needed volunteers to help with the May 16th River Festival car show and will send broadcast email with details.

7. DRAW FOR DOOR PRIZE - Won by Mike McC and Ron We. tied for the door prize in a guessing game related to Jerry's slide show.
